What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect through niagarausapass.com, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. The Niagara USA Pass is not yet on sale, so at present we collect very little.
What we collect
If you join our mailing list, we collect the first name and email address you give us, the date and time you signed up, and the page you signed up from. We keep a record of your consent because we are required to.
Separately, like most websites, we collect basic technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, and the site or search that sent you here. This comes from our analytics tools and is used in aggregate.
We do not collect payment information. There is no checkout on this site.
Why we collect it
We use your name and email address for one purpose: to tell you when the Niagara USA Pass launches and to send you occasional information about the pass and the attractions in it. We use technical information to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with attractions, advertisers, or any other third party for their own marketing.
Consent, and how to withdraw it
We only email you if you actively opted in by ticking the consent box on our form. We do not add people to our list any other way.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also email hello@niagarausapass.com and ask us to remove you, and we will do it without asking you why.
Who we share information with
We use third-party service providers to run the site and the mailing list, and your information passes through them. These currently include our email marketing provider, [PROVIDER], and our website analytics provider, Google Analytics. Each processes data under its own terms. We do not permit them to use your information for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, but this is not something we anticipate.
Where your information is held
Our providers store data on servers in the United States. If you are contacting us from Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union or elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your own country. By joining our list you consent to that transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe we retain a minimal record of the unsubscribe itself, so that we do not accidentally email you again.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@niagarausapass.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws including Canada’s PIPEDA, the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, and various US state privacy laws. We will honour valid requests under any of them, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Children
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Cookies
We use cookies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as well if you do. [If ad pixels are added, this section must be expanded and a cookie banner added.]
Changes
We will update this policy as the business develops, particularly when the pass goes on sale and we begin processing payments. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
